Family Bible Hour Teachers

Sunday School (Family Bible Hour)
Our Sunday school is known as "Family Bible Hour" we meet at 9:00a.m. each Sunday mornings. The Family that studies together, grows together. Bible study is a very important part of our church activity. There is a class for all age groups, which makes it easy for you to fit in if you are new. Everyone is Invited to attend and participate in our Family Bible Hour. If you are not attending yet, you may be missing out on a blessing or something that God wants to tell you through His Word. History: Friday night youth fellowship has been a part of Metropolitan Baptist Church's history for a long time. It started with going to conferences in Orlando, then we did our own thing at home. We started out at least 65 strong each night and we made no excuses for "rocking the house". Concerts, mini-plays, basketball, board games, soccer, fairs, the beach, camps ... you name it, we did it! over the years the church's family has grown with new daughter churches that sprouted and moved on. As a result, youth fellowship has faced some challenges with people moving out and others coming in. Nonetheless, despite all the differences we have surpassed them all and today we're well on the way to being even better than before. Our new name is the "ROCK" and our aim, as has always been, is to show young people how to have a good time in Christ. Whoever says being a Christian is boring, we have proven them wrong! We welcome the young and young at heart to visit us and see what we are all about. We are one big loving family and that will never change!

Mission Statement: To reach and enrich young lives for Christ through Bible study, exemplary living, prayer and outreach, all the while fostering a captivating environment creativity, family, fun, fellowship and spiritual growth through obedience to God's Word and His leading.

Opportunities: Are you looking for a way to deepen your spiritual relationship with God? Is your life not exactly where you want it to be? Then get involved in one of the Bible studies available at MBC. Young Men's and Women's Bible study meets every Wednesday with our church Home Groups. Call the church office for details.

Community Service: Looking for a way to give back? Or maybe you need those 30hrs to graduate?? Well, then you should get involved in some of the ROCK's Community Service activities. Every other month we feed the Homeless in Miami and we visit the sick and elderly in our church.

Outings: "ROCK" activities are always happening and always fun. You don't want to miss out on our beach trips, ice skating nights, and theme park days. And how can we forget our annual trips to Dade Amusement parks. If you didn't know, now you know, so we'll see you there.

Summer Sports: Let me guess, you are vibrant, and you love volley ball, football, basketball, soccer, or cricket! Well guess what?? we do too!!! "ROCK" offers many opportunities for you to come out and show us your skills. Come join us and take part in these exciting activities!

Music Ministry

Music:
The music department is always looking for new members to participate in their various choirs. If you attend Metropolitan Baptist Church and are interested, please contact Mr. Eric Christian, Minister of music.
The Choirs: Each Sunday the choirs participate in our service by singing and leading the congregation in joyful and worshipful songs with a message. We have two choirs, The Adult Choir and The Youth Choir.

The Praise Team: Every Sunday at the beginning of our worship session, the praise team leads the congregation in uplifting and inspirational choruses, this is accented by the piano, flute, keyboard, drums and tambourine. The praise and worship period usually sets the tone for the rest of the worship session.

The Metropops: A group of 6 Men who sing and minister in music, accapella style.

Oakside: Their name originates from a group on one of our youth camps. This is a group of 4 young men who minister to different congregations in our neighborhood. Their style is different and hip, as in Hip-Hop. They do Christian Rap and Reggae and their lyrical style is unique. You cannot stay still when you listen to the message of God brought to you in Hip-Hop through "OAKSIDE"


There are more musical talents who grace our ear from time to time with special music.
Music is a big part of our worship experience at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
